who made man’s mouth and
endowed him in the beginning
with the gift of speech.

Look in compassion on those who suffer
from speech disorders.

Grant courage to them as they
learn to talk again;

Skill to their doctors and
speech therapists;

Understanding to their relatives and friends;
and to the general public
such a deepened concern as
will result in better facilities
for research and rehabilitation.

Hear these our prayers,
